This is the 2014 Burkinabé uprising against Blaise Compaoré, who murdered President Thomas Sankara, and attempted to amend the constitution to extend his 27-year brutal term for life. On 31 October 2014, the people chased him out of Burkina Faso; now in exile in Côte d’Ivoire.
