A British paper reporting 2-3-1838, of a revolt of the Africans in Elimna Castle—in today's Ghana—a Dutch, notorious slave holding fort. The Governor dared to go against them with 300 men, all either killed or taken prisoner. The US was still haggling over abolition of slavery.
